FOSS.IN is one of the world’s largest Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) events, held annually in India. The event is highly focussed on FOSS development and contribution. Over the years, it has attracted thousands of participants, and the speaker roster reads like a “Who’s Who” of FOSS contributors from across the world.
FOSS.IN is a non-commercial event organised and run entirely by FOSS community volunteers. It does not represent the interests of any commercial entity.
Delegate Registration
Registration Charge
Delegates will receive food coupons and delegate kits. No part of the regular registration cost will be used to support the event - however Corporate Delegate registrations help support the event and subsidize the event for others. The delegate fee covers all 5 days of the event, and includes lunch and tea/coffee on each day.
- Online registration: The delegate fee is Rs.600 per head for people who have pre-registered online, and who bring their correct registration code (i.e. the printout of the registration card that you get to see when you register online). There is a discount of Rs.100 (i.e. the delegate fee is Rs.500) for students who show a valid student ID at the payment counter at the venue.
- Corporate registration: Corporate attendees (delegates from companies that have a training budget, i.e. almost everyone) are expected to pay Rs.2,500 per head. For more information about Corporate Delegate payments, please click here.
- On-the-spot registration: For people who do not register online before coming to the venue, the charge is Rs.1200/1000, or who do not have a valid registration code with them. There is no search facility available at the venue, so please do not forget your registration code when you come to the venue.

Too funny! Free and Open Source Events need registration FEE. Why? There is no FREE LUNCH. Software is FREE. But the FOSS is NOT FREE!!!!!
I am sorry to say that your understanding about FOSS is wrong… You always connect that to money. It really not connected to money!!!
Its connected to OPEN Source
You may come back and argue after reading this http://www.dwheeler.com/oss_fs_why.html
Thanks
